In this regard, COHESIO undertakes to do everything possible to respect and protect your privacy, in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (“Private Sector Act”) and any other applicable privacy legislation. We are also committed to acting transparently and responsibly in the management of any personal information you may provide to us.
The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you of our practices regarding the collection, use, processing, disclosure, retention and destruction of your personal information. It also informs you of your rights with respect to your personal information.
By providing us with personal information, you agree that your personal information will be processed in accordance with the terms of this policy, and you authorize COHESIO and its service providers to use your information in accordance with the purposes set out below.
It is therefore important that you read it carefully. If you disagree with any aspect of our policy, please refrain from providing us with your personal information.
Definition of Personal Information
Personal information means any information relating to a natural person that allows that person to be identified, directly or indirectly. This includes, in particular, a person’s name, home address, telephone number, age, sex, marital or family status, an identification number, financial information, level of education, etc.
1. Who are we?
COHÉSIO is a Montréal-based architecture firm bringing together expert, attentive professionals, with an approach grounded in rigour. The success of its projects rests on the development of proven production protocols and communication tools with partner experts, in order to optimize and foster transparency throughout the design process. COHÉSIO encourages listening and discussion carried out with honesty, respect and candour, in every sphere of corporate life.
It is this vision that allows COHÉSIO to develop expertise in managing complex architectural issues and in explaining them clearly to its clients, resulting in ongoing support that is clear and that reflects their needs, realities and objectives.
2. What personal information do we collect?
When you visit our website www.cohesio.ca, or otherwise interact with us, we may collect and process various types of personal information about you that are necessary to provide our services, namely:

Your personal information will be used in accordance with applicable privacy legislation and in accordance with any consent you have given.

5. With whom do we share personal information?

6. For how long do we retain personal information?
We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was provided to us, and for any compatible or related purposes authorized by law.
We will stop using your personal information and will ensure that it is destroyed as soon as those purposes have been fulfilled, subject to any applicable legal or regulatory retention periods.
7. Where do we store personal information, and what about international transfers?
Your personal information is stored on our servers and/or on those of our IT service provider, located in Québec.
That said, your personal information may be disclosed to service providers whose facilities are located outside Québec. You therefore consent to the transfer of your personal information to countries or provinces (other than the province of Québec) where personal information protection rules may differ.
However, we ensure that such providers offer adequate protection with respect to generally recognized personal information protection principles, by first conducting a privacy impact assessment (an analysis of security issues and applicable law) and by having such providers sign a written agreement to that effect.
8. How do we protect personal information?
We recognize that information security is an integral part of the confidentiality of personal information.
We implement industry best practices to ensure the protection of personal information, in accordance with applicable legislation in this regard.
All COHÉSIO personnel, as well as any third-party providers we may retain who process personal information on our behalf, are also contractually bound to respect the security and confidentiality of personal information.
9. Links to other websites
COHÉSIO’s website may contain hyperlinks to other websites. Information exchanged on those websites is not governed by this privacy policy, but rather by the privacy policy of the external website in question, if one exists. Where applicable, we invite you to review it before providing your personal information to third parties.
COHÉSIO cannot be held responsible for the policies, procedures and practices of its partners with respect to the protection of personal information.
10. What rights does an individual have with respect to their personal information?
10.1 Right of access, rectification and withdrawal of consent
To access your personal information, to request a correction of your personal information, or to withdraw your consent to the disclosure or use of your personal information, you must send a written request to COHÉSIO’s Personal Information Protection Officer (contact information is provided at the end of this Policy).
A request for correction must be sufficiently precise and must properly identify you, so as to allow COHÉSIO to adequately correct or complete any personal information found to be inaccurate or incomplete.
A request to withdraw consent may, where applicable, end the individual’s ability to benefit from the services offered by COHÉSIO.
10.2 Processing of requests
COHÉSIO will normally respond to requests for access, rectification or withdrawal of consent within 30 days, in accordance with the time limits prescribed by the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.
Reasonable assistance will be provided to individuals wishing to access or correct their personal information, including help in clarifying exactly what they are looking for.
Depending on the volume of information requested as part of an access request, a nominal fee may reasonably be charged to cover the costs of responding to the request.
Written notice will be provided if COHÉSIO must refuse an individual access to their personal information for legal, regulatory or other reasons.
