Located on the ground floor of one of the most prestigious office towers in the Place Ville Marie business district, this space previously housed the BDC's offices and was not designed to accommodate a restaurant in any way. Under the direction of COHÉSIO Architecture, the premises were entirely transformed, structure, electromechanical systems, and audiovisual technology integration, giving rise to an upscale restaurant.
Major structural work was carried out, including the demolition of the existing mezzanine, which included a heavy bank vault, replaced by a new mezzanine suited to its new purpose. Particular care was given to acoustics and lighting to create a warm atmosphere despite the high traffic typical of this type of establishment.
The project also included the design of a distinctive entrance on René-Lévesque Boulevard and a terrace on the historic esplanade of Place Ville Marie, along with signage designed to ensure good visibility for the restaurant while respecting the heritage character of the site. The project was carried out in collaboration with the Keg's designer, Boti Interiors Inc.
