The refurbishment project for the Maisonneuve College conducted by COHESIO aimed at improving its image and the attractiveness of its facilities, departments and equipment. It was divided into four parts: the redesign of the nursing science department, the creation of a medical school-clinic, the transformation of premises to add a computer lab, and the refurbishment of the main entrance.

Located near the Pie-IX metro station, the Bourbonnière entrance is the most frequently used access to the College, welcoming approximately 5,000 pedestrians each day. Full of potential yet previously underutilized, it was reimagined by COHESIO Architecture as an attractive and welcoming gateway.
The design approach aimed to create an architectural gesture capable of clearly marking the entrance and establishing a strong presence within the urban fabric. The concept was articulated around a powerful signage element: a wall of red aluminum panels visible directly from the metro exit. Its volume and materiality balance the façade and naturally draw attention.
The new entrance now stands as a clear, vibrant and welcoming landmark. Students naturally gather there, users move through the space with ease, and Collège de Maisonneuve now benefits from a renewed frontage that reflects its dynamism and its connection with the surrounding neighbourhood.
