From a former printing facility emerged a 70,000 sq.ft. 26 MW hyperscale data centre, the result of COHESIO Architecture's intervention in collaboration with JAVCO MISSION CRITICAL.
Every installation detail, from acoustic treatment to fire resistance, ensures a reliable and stable environment. Two additional technical buildings with a combined area of 25,000 sq.ft. were also constructed to house 13 generator units. State-of-the-art cooling and power supply systems were integrated. The project combines modular suites, clean rooms and a data farm within a space designed for performance, security and resilience.
Relaunched in a context of major regulatory and urban transformation, the team successfully revised design concepts during construction, coordinated numerous stakeholders and proposed architectural and acoustic solutions responding to new neighbourhood considerations.
With the guidance of JAVCO, COHESIO Architecture led a team of engineers, owners, contractors and urban planners, synthesizing and coordinating the project's requirements and particularities while acting as the main liaison with City representatives, including the Urban Planning Advisory Committee. Architecture and technology converge, bringing to life a reinvented building ready to meet the challenges of the digital era.
